Earth Flag One, the global emblem created by Planet Earth Now, is once again drawing attention after being showcased at ChangeNOW26 in Paris. Originally launched in 2018, the flag has grown into a unifying symbol for individuals and organisations working to protect the planet and preserve biodiversity.

Designed to give visibility to what its creators describe as a ‘silent majority’, the initiative is rooted in research showing that 80 per cent of people worldwide want stronger government action on climate change. Despite this overwhelming support, many voices remain unheard due to barriers such as time, resources and access to information. Earth Flag One aims to bridge that gap by offering a simple, recognisable way for people to express their commitment to environmental action.

At the Paris event, Jason Hollingsworth, founder of etheco, met the Planet Earth Now team and saw the flag up close. Reflecting on the experience, he said: ‘The Earth Flag One is such a unifying symbol, bringing together those fighting to protect the planet and preserve biodiversity. It’s a constant and powerful reminder of the climate crisis as well as a call to action.’

The organisation is also preparing to launch Call of the Earth, a global campaign designed to raise awareness of the planetary health crisis and connect citizens worldwide. Together, the flag and campaign aim to inspire collective action at a time when coordinated global efforts are increasingly urgent.
