Held annually on 3 July, International Plastic Bag Free Day was first launched in 2008 by Bag Free World and Zero Waste Europe as a global call to reduce reliance on single-use plastic bags and encourage more sustainable alternatives. The campaign aims to tackle the environmental damage caused by plastic bags, helping to reduce pollution on land and in our oceans while encouraging more responsible consumption.
